We are very happy you’ve found your way to our site and hope you’ll keep visiting it from time to time. Why? Because we feel we are working on something special and want you to be part of it.
It all started when our former band, State of Eye, stopped existing somewhere in April 2006. The fire was gone between the five of us and we felt we needed to do something different. Musically, we (Martin, Guido and Robin) have always felt a great connection with each other and we didn’t just want to throw that away.
So in May we decided to give it a try as we joined in our rehearsal room again. And oh my god….it was a revelation to us! We did a little experimenting with sound, dropped some new ideas, adjusted some rusted visions and views and it all simply just matched. Within three months we’ve build up a new repertoire, a new website (as you must have noticed), a new ‘plan’ and a new name…. Dog Called Phenix was born.
What’s the plan?
First of all we are going to record a single called ‘Give her a Go’. This single will be used for an online game with already more than one million visitors! And then in October, November and December we will (finally!) record our full-length CD, which we will present in Januari/Februari 2007. Between August en December we arrange some try-outs where we can play and test our mostly new songs and off course try to win people for our music. We focus on 2007 and will be ready to make that year ours.
