On a roll…

Hey friends and fans,

We’ve had two exciting weeks with two exciting gigs. And we’ve had such good response that we can conclude: Dog Called Phenix are on a roll.

The 25th November we made “the great journey” to Merleyn in Doetinchem, with in our minds the disaster of last year when serious snowstorms nearly prevented us from playing on the 5-daagse. As you might remember drummer Martin than got stuck in the snow on the way to Doetinchem. And super-fan Frans nearly crashed his car that night on the way home. This time though we had no problems getting there or home.

Merleyn this time was totally sold-out, hot and yes, it was steamy. Dialogue warmed up the audience for us even more and they did that as expected: with a seriously tight rock show. They played awesome! Later that evening Dog Called Phenix did their thing and the audience liked what we offered them: the real Dog Called Phenix rockmenu. It was good! It was tasty and it was tight! Yes, we rocked the place. Next year we will be back!

Last Friday, 1th December, Dog Called Phenix, together with Dialogue and the band AnumberOne, performed at the Cafe Pakhuis Wilhelmina in Amsterdam. This time we didn’t sell-out the place, but it was busy enough. Dialogue did their thing with power and passion, even though the crowd wasn’t that big. Thanks guys for joining us. Once Dog Called Phenix were ready to perform in their hometown, the place filled-up more with friends, fans and people we’ve never seen before but hope to see again. It is hard to rate your own performance, but according tot the response from the audience it was a ‘very fine’ gig. Robin, Guido and Martin all three were in top shape and played whole-heartedly and tight as F*#%.

Mmm, yes ladies and gentlemen, Dog Called Phenix left a very good impression at both venues. We’re on a roll….a rock ‘n roll that is. See you next year on the 13th January at The Winston Kingdom in Amsterdam. You can contact us to buy pre-sale tickets for the Emergenza festival.
